Zoë Metcalfe – Conservative candidate for Doncaster Central
Doncaster Central Conservatives selected Zoë Metcalfe as their prospective parliamentary candidate. Zoë is Yorkshire born and bred and believes that Doncaster has been badly let down by the Labour Party.
Zoë is a fresh face to politics and she is not a career politician. Zoë has a sound knowledge of the workings of local Government through her role on 3 Parish Councils. She has an excellent track record of engagement with the local community through her voluntary and fundraising work and being a school governor. Zoë is keen to put all this experience to good use by representing the people of Doncaster Central.
Zoë works in a primary school and runs her own family business. Like many constituents, Zoë understands how hard it is to juggle a hectic working life with raising a family.
Zoë came to politics to help assist the local community and she does not intend to be an absentee MP. Zoë has pledged to hold regular advice surgeries in all parts of Doncaster Central so that residents can meet her to discuss their concerns face to face. Zoë is keen to get involved in many aspects of our community. You will always be able to keep in touch with Zoë!
Commenting on her selection Zoë said; ‘I am delighted to have been selected as the Conservative candidate for Doncaster Central. I have strong connections here as I am Yorkshire born and bred. I want to use my life experience and business background to improve the town by being a strong voice in parliament.’
